Workflow Change Initiative



The new general counsel of a RV Manufacturer’s sales & marketing unit launched an organizational development project for his legal department based on the Plan phase of the Legal Optimization Model. He engaged RGP Legal to lead the project and do the work.


How We Helped

We redesigned the workflow of the in-house team given retirement scenarios and the integration of siloed litigation groups. We also reassessed the make/buy decisions and unbundled work to alternative legal service providers. We engaged all department personnel on the issues of mission, portfolio, and structure (including resourcing) with the objective of developing recommendations ranging from process improvements and implementation of best practices to fundamental restructuring of the department.

RGP Legal professionals and RGP professionals with human capital expertise completed the first phase of the project in approximately six weeks.
